The Challenge
- Procurement strategy for uniform and PPE category didn’t exist– suppliers were selected on the basis of location, product availability and price
- Approx 30 different suppliers used across the whole group within this category
- No company supply agreements with agreed fixed pricing, terms, service commitment, etc. – not receiving value for money
- Some safety equipment wasn’t ‘fit for purpose‘ therefore affecting employee productivity
- Big opportunity to reduce complexity, waste and streamline purchasing/receipting/invoicing processes
